How to Locate a Tracking Number if Not in Shopify

In some cases, when a shop has generated a direct ship order to QBP, HLC, or JBI, the tracking number may not automatically upload from the vendor to Shopify. Follow these steps to find the tracking number:
Step 1: Check in Shopify
Open the order in Shopify.
Step 2: Check in Masterlinq
Open Masterlinq.
Click on "Orders" in the left-hand navigation.
Type in the order number and click search.
The order will open up, and you can check:
If the order was drop shipped or shipped from Reno.
If the order has "Fulfilled" across the top, it has shipped.
If shipped from Reno, the tracking number will be visible below the fulfilled line.
If drop shipped, it will indicate "Shipped via (HLC, QBP)."
If shipped automatically, the tracking number will appear on the order in Masterlinq.
Step 3: Check QBP for Tracking (If Not Available in Masterlinq)
Log in to QBP.
Click "My Account" at the top.
Click "Account History."
Look for the order number.
Click the order ID link to open the order.
Locate the tracking number.
Copy the tracking number.
Go to Shopify, open the order, and click "Fulfill Item."
Paste the tracking number into the box and check "Notify Seller."
If there is no tracking number:
Check the quantity in the order.
If it shows a zero, there is no stock.
If a number appears but the order hasn’t shipped, it's still in process.
Return later to get the tracking number after it ships.
Step 4: Check HLC for Tracking (If Not Available in Masterlinq)
Log in to HLC.
Go to "My Account."
Click "Order History."
Look for the order number.
Click on the date to expand the shipped order.
Click "Track Order."
Copy the tracking number.
Go to Shopify, open the order, and click "Fulfill Item."
Paste the tracking number into the box and check "Notify Seller."
Step 5: Check JBI for Tracking (If Not Available in Masterlinq)
Log in to JBI.
Go to "Orders."
Click "Processed Orders."
Look for the order number or Name of the customer.
Click the order open ID number link.
The tracking number should be available, copy the tracking number.
Go to Shopify, open the order, and click "Fulfill Item."
Paste the tracking number into the box and check "Notify Seller."
By following these steps, you can locate and update tracking information for direct ship orders efficiently.
